1. To me, you are just a little boy like countless other little boys. I don't need you, and you don't need me either. To you, I am just a fox like countless other foxes. However, if you were to tame me, we would become dependent on each other. You would be the only one in the universe for me, and I would be the only one in the world for you.
2. Look, can you see the wheat field over there? I don't eat bread, so wheat holds no significance for me. The wheat field doesn't inspire any associations in me, which is quite sad. But you have golden hair, and if you were to tame me, it would be wonderful! The sight of the golden wheat would remind me of you, and I would enjoy the sound of the wind blowing through the wheat ears.
3. What is truly important is invisible to the naked eye.
4. Your rose is so important to you because you have spent time with her.
5. The beauty of the desert lies in the hidden oasis somewhere within it.
6. At night, when you look up at the stars, my star is too small to point out to you. Perhaps it's for the better. You can believe that my star is among these stars. Because of that, you will come to love all the stars in the night sky... and they will become your friends too.
7. If you love a flower that lives on a star, then when you look at the stars at night, you will feel a sweetness, and you will see the stars as if they were blooming flowers.
8. Only the heart can see the true essence of things; what is essential cannot be seen with the eyes.
9. "Where are all the people?" Finally, the Little Prince broke the silence, "In the desert, there is a sense of loneliness..."
"Even where there are people, there can still be loneliness," the snake replied.
10. "You know, when people are very unhappy, they always like to watch the sunset."

Chapter 25
"People travel on express trains all the time, but they don't know what they're looking for. They run around in a hurry and become very excited. And so, it goes on and on..." the Little Prince said to me.
He then added, "Actually, there's no need for all this trouble..."
We came to a well, which didn't seem like the wells in the Sahara Desert. The wells in the Sahara were just holes dug in the sand. But this well was like one in a village. Yet there was no village here, so I doubted for a moment if I was dreaming.
"It's strange, this well has everything, pulleys, buckets, and ropes..." I said to the Little Prince.
He smiled and pulled the rope, making the pulley spin.
The pulley creaked and groaned, like an old weathercock forgotten by the wind.
"Do you hear that? We're waking up the well, and it's singing..." said the Little Prince.
I couldn't bear to see him become more tired from the rope.
"Give me the rope, it's too heavy," I said.
Slowly, I lifted the bucket and placed it beside the well—I had used all my strength and felt both tired and happy. The sound of the pulley still echoed in my ears. The shimmering ripples gently reflected the sunlight.
"I'm dying of thirst, give me a drink..." said the Little Prince.
Finally, I knew what he was looking for.
I lifted the bucket to his lips. He drank, his eyes close to the water. The water tasted like a feast on a holiday. Such water was indeed different from ordinary nourishment. After walking for days and nights, hearing the song of the pulley, and through the effort of my arms, such delicacy was finally produced. It was a wonderful experience for our hearts, like a gift. I remembered when I was a little boy, the flashing lights of the Christmas tree, the music of the midnight mass, the gentle smiles, all were Christmas gifts I received.
"Someone has 5,000 roses in the same garden—but they can't find what they're looking for among them," said the Little Prince.
"They can't," I replied.
"Yet what they're looking for can be found in a single flower or a drop of water."
"Yes, that's true," I said.
The Little Prince continued, "But the eyes must be blind, and one must look with the heart..."
I also drank the water and felt much more relaxed. Under the setting sun, the sand shimmered with a honey-like color. Such a scene was truly delightful! Then, strangely, I felt a hint of sadness.
"You must keep your promise," the Little Prince sat beside me again and said softly.
"What promise?"
"You know—the muzzle for my little sheep... I have to protect my flower from harm..."
I took out my draft paper from my pocket.
The Little Prince looked at it and smiled, "The baobab trees you drew look a bit like cabbages."
"Oh!?" I was very proud of my baobab trees!
"The little fox you drew—her ears look like horns and are too long," he said.
Then he smiled again.
"How can you say that? I haven't drawn anything except for the boa constrictor," I rolled my eyes.
"Oh, well, children will understand," he said.
So, I drew a muzzle with a pencil. When I gave it to him, my heart was almost broken.
"What are your plans next?" I asked.
He didn't respond to me but said, "You know, I landed on Earth... tomorrow it will be exactly one year."
After a moment of silence, he continued, "I landed near here."
Then, his face turned red.
For some reason, I felt a little sad. A question popped into my mind:
"So, it wasn't a coincidence that I first met you that morning a week ago, right? Originally, you were wandering around human dwellings thousands of miles away. Are you going back to your planet? At the same spot where you first landed on Earth?"
The Little Prince blushed again.
I hesitated and added, "Maybe it's because of the one-year anniversary?"
The Little Prince blushed even more. He didn't answer my question, but doesn't a person's blush indicate that they承认了吗?
"Hey, I feel a bit uneasy—" I said to him.
But he interrupted me.
"Now you should go back to work. You must focus on your motor. I'll wait for you here. Come back tomorrow night..."
But I didn't believe such words. I thought of the little fox. If one wants to be tamed, they must be prepared to cry...

小王子英文原文he little prince The Little Prince
On the fifth day-- again, as always, it was thanks to the sheep-- the secret of the little prince's life was revealed to me. Abruptly, without anything to lead up to it, and as if the question had been born of long and silent meditation on his problem, he demanded
"A sheep-- if it eats little bushes, does it eat flowers, too?"
第五天,还是羊的事情,把小王子生活的秘密向我揭开了。他好像有个问题默默地思索了很久,终于得出了结论,突然没头没脑地问我:绵羊既然吃灌木,那它也吃花儿?

"The significance of stars varies for everyone. For travelers, stars can serve as a guide for direction..."
